Still on that theme scented hygiene routine trend, in today’s blog post, I am sharing a 5-step hygiene routine, for the girlies who like floral/ sweet scents. If you enjoy smelling like a garden or a packet of sweets, this post is for you.

Step one: First Cleanse with an Unscented/ Mildly scented soap bar

The first step of this hygiene routine starts from the shower. With your cotton washcloth and unscented/mildly scented soap bar, lather it up under warm water and wash your body thoroughly. Pay attention to the areas where your skin folds, like your neck, armpits, and between the toes.

The purpose of the first cleanse is to clean your body from sweat, bacteria, and dirt thus providing a clean base to layer your scent.

For this step, I recommend the Pears Pure & Gentle Soap Bar. It lathers easily and has a slight scent so it’s suitable if you have sensitive skin. Also, the glycerine ensures your skin isn’t stripped dry even as it cleanses.

Also, this soap brand got rid of my bacne, chestne & bumps on my arms. It’s magic, I’m just saying.

Step two: Second Cleanse with a floral/sweet scented shower gel/wash

As I mentioned in my 5-step fresh scented routine blog post, the first cleanse is to clean your body, and the second one is the beginning of the scent layering process. It’s to make you smell nice. 🙂

So, for this step, you will get your exfoliating gloves or African net cloth, pour sweet/floral-scented body wash, lather it up, and cleanse all areas.

For this step, I recommend the Imperial Leather Cherry Blossom Body Wash. It has a sweet and slightly floral scent, perfect for this routine.

After covering all areas, rinse off and dry yourself with a clean body towel.

Step three: Moisturize with a sweet-scented body lotion & petroleum jelly

Now that you have a clean base, it’s time to moisturize your skin. For this step, I recommend the Nice & Lovely glycerine & almond oil lotion, or the Imperial Leather Cherry Blossom lotion. The Nice & Lovely has a subtle floral scent, while the Cherry Blossom Lotion has the same scent as the body wash. However, I have found that the Cherry Blossom lotion is not as moisturizing on its own, and you’d have to top it up with petroleum jelly and baby oil for extra moisture and glow.

To further enhance the sweet scent, I recommend the Ballet strawberry & cream petroleum jelly for this step, to be used together with the lotion.

Don’t forget to finish up with Ballet baby oil for extra softness, moisture, and glow.

Step four: Deodorant

Step four in this 5-step floral/sweet scented hygiene routine, is applying deodorant. As I have mentioned several times before, deodorant will allow you to sweat, but you won’t smell sweaty. Therefore, it won’t throw off the sweet/floral scent you are doing your best to achieve and maintain all day.

For this step, I recommend the Garnier Even Anti-perspirant. It does a great job!

Step five: Sweet-scented fragrance e.g Yara Pink

To wrap up our 5-step floral/sweet hygiene routine is the best part! Perfume!

Let me introduce to you one of my favorite perfumes there is, Yara Lattafa, better known as Yara Pink.

This is the ultimate baby girl perfume. It smells so good!

The beauty about it is that it’s an Arabic perfume, so it lasts all day and the whole road will smell you as you walk about. 😂

Also, considering its projection and quality, it’s pretty affordable at Ksh.2000-3000. It’s also quite long-lasting, as I have had the same bottle for almost a year now.

Remember to spray it on your pulse points for it to last all day and project more.

As I finish, if you like floral/ sweet scents and are ready to walk into your soft, feminine, and baby girl era, trust that this scent routine could serve you well.

Which new item will you be getting and adding to your routine? Feel free to share in the comments.

I’d also appreciate your liking and sharing. It lets me know what you like, and I can continue to do more of that. ❤

Till next post,

Miss Kambe.
